HeyDan, just wanted to know that I am thinking about you and Barb. I am sure the decision you had to make with your mom was a tough one. I am sure she is grateful for the care you both have provided her over the last few years.

Am I going ot see you at Jumanji this year?

Interesting read.

I might add that branding a small business is a bit cheaper as the business can deliver their brand values to the customer effectively than a large scale multi-national those have lengthily operations. In a small business, the brand manager (mostly general manager, himself/herself) can train the employees to deliver their service according to the brand values.

"The girl who made our drinks chatted with us and shared stories. The guy who told us about the statistics was warm and friendly."

In a large scale company, this can be quite tenuous as the brand managers need to execute training programs for the employees to get accustomed to the brand values. Of course they do have money and will find it easier to deliver their brand through a big marketing campaign, but there will be flaws in the delivery of their brand.

Sorry to be a little tardy. Great question on marketing strategies. Here are three...
1. Write an article or white paper and distribute it to your community - clients and prospects. Discuss the reasons to consider and why they are better off with this coverage.
2. Find places to speak on the coverage. Venues that have business owners. Rotary clubs, Chambers of Commerce, etc. Don't itch...just educate. They will want to talk with you.
3. Create a podcast or webinar and promote it.
You can probably think of more, but this is a good start.
